Saving CI using WebAPI

Hi,

I'm using the WebAPI to create Configuration Items in SD5 SP1.
I notice that saving any CI (IConfigurationItem.save()) takes a long time. Does anyone know why is this happening?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Saving CI using WebAPI

Hi,

It's taking more or less 5 seconds. I'm doing an input of over 1000 CIs, using the WebAPI. This takes a long time. I was expecting more or less 1-2 sec most as when using the SD client interface...

Re: Saving CI using WebAPI

quite depends on how many attributes are you saving, but in general, it takes a while

for example if you are saving location, person, organization and other separated objects (used in that configuration item) it can enlarge time, because at first you are opening all that objects (they are still in memory) and then web-api is assigning them to that configuration item.

try to show some example to us (or which attributes are you saving)

what about your hardware configuration ?
