SP23 performance issue with views

We have HP OpenView Service Desk 4.5 SP23 on a SQL-server 2005 environment.

In views where we added a calculated field "to target date" to get an overview of all calls that reach there SLA deadline we notice a huge difference in performance.

The same view without the calculated field is much faster but the rules on the calculated field are no longer correct. (View rule = when "to target date" less then 1 set text color to red)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: SP23 performance issue with views

Hi,

it is a known fact that views with calculated fields in them will suffer a decrease in the performance of the view.

Can you get the data you need from the DB instead of the view?

Re: SP23 performance issue with views

The view is used as an operational view and not for SLA tracking. Meaning the view is used by the service desk agents and specialists to see what ticket needs there attention.

Some views take up to 20 seconds to refresh what is not really helpfull on first line.

I was hoping somebody knows a solution (hot fix) or a work around.
