SD5.1: how to implement Impact x Priority settings ?

Hi,

Yes, I know that a support guide exists for SD5.1 on how to implement Impact x Priority mapping, but still I can't get the result. I'm able to get Priority -> Deadline, but not Impact -> Priority mapping despite all I've followed.

So, if someone is able to describe me the procedure, he will deserve 10 points, promis ;-) !

Re: SD5.1: how to implement Impact x Priority settings ?

Hi there,

If there is a value already in priority, the mapping from impact does NOT take place (see the note under the help topic Impact-Priority Configuration).

To get round this, I have a UI rule which empties priority whenever a value is set in Impact; this UI rule seems to be obeyed before the mapping and so it has the effect I want.

Hope this helps

Great, this is the point I was missing.

I should read more often the online help and less the HP PDF sh.. guides.
