Re: SD5.1:SP6: OUTBOUND EMAIL

Hi Rahul,

make sure that server smtp.mi8.com allows relay from your SD server.

Re: SD5.1:SP6: OUTBOUND EMAIL

relaying is dependent on IP address( hostname)?
Because currently we are getting emails for other SD server.
I am not expert of relaying or exchange server.

You mean to say that enable relaying for SD server(IP address: x.x.x.x)
Please confirm so that i can send a request to mail server team.

Rahul

Re: SD5.1:SP6: OUTBOUND EMAIL

For inbound mail do we need to configure anything in incoming(pop server) mail server or outgoing mail server(smtp server).

Re: SD5.1:SP6: OUTBOUND EMAIL

Relay is configured at Mail Server level, you can specify in the server for which IP address your server is allow to route emails (this is a security feature).

Make sure that relay is open for SD server's IP on the Mail server.

For inbound email to create Service Calls, you just need to make sure to route emails to SD server.

Check the docuemntation, "SD Administrator's Guide"> "Email" chapter.
