Re: SD command lines

Hi Marc,

The simplest way to see what options are available is to start a DOS box in the bin folder and issue the relevant command (sd_client for client, sd_server for server) with parameter /?

e.g. sd_client /?

Hope this helps

There is info on the data exchange commands and sd_event in the Data Exchange manual.

Re: SD command lines

Thank you Ruth for your input.
I am looking for as much documented info on configuration of SD via UI/Db rules as well.
Example what are my parameters with smart actions???? where can I find the list of parameters, I cannot find anything in help/manuals.
I am very new to SD, and at this point need as much guidance as possible. :-)
Thanks again,
Marc

Re: SD command lines

Chapter 4 in the Admin guide has a section on Actions.

Re: SD command lines

Hi Marc,

The parameters for a smart action will depend on the utility you are trying to execute: for example to ping a CI (with 5 attempts) from a service call, the application would point to ping and the parameters might be

-n5 [Configuration Item;IP Address]

Hope this helps
