SD 5.0 create a TOOLBAR button

Can someone explain me a way to create a toolbar button which opens a specific form ?

I don't believe you can. The "add to workspace" capability is really only geared up to 2 things:-
1. loading objects from the DB (at which point a default view will be used and whichever one you switch to will be cached for next time)

OR

2. to invoke a web site via URL (static coz there is no way of passing parameters)

So, all-in-all, not as helpful as it might at first seem.

I checked the toolbar and it only allows customisation of existing buttons and do not allow for new buttons and the workspace is not as flexible as sd 4.5.

That's true. No easy way to add a button to a toolbar. I can add a button to a form like a servicecall form. But what if i want to create a rule when this butten is pressed that opens a specific checklist instead of the wizzard ?

There has to be something on this.
