Re: SD 4.5 sp 15 not starting application server

I'd say you have forgotten to upgrade the database (still at SP8)

Re: SD 4.5 sp 15 not starting application server

Sorry I mean "base SP". Don't forget that even a new database will need an upgrade (have pointed out how silly this is but that's the way it works)

Re: SD 4.5 sp 15 not starting application server

My favourite error here is to forget to declare JAVA_HOME environment variable and point it at my C:\JDK1.3.1_03 (or wherever).

And this has to happen BEFORE you create the tomcat server service so you may have to delete this and recreate.

Re: SD 4.5 sp 15 not starting application server

I entered Java_Home in the Variable Name field, and the location of the
JSDK in the Variable Value field as C:\jdk1.3.1._03.Its still giving error.

Re: SD 4.5 sp 15 not starting application server

Hi,

Did you apply sp15 for service pages also? You have to define JAVA_HOME in system variables section, see attachment. A restart is needed after you define JAVA_HOME.

And a tip, after everything is ok, you can run installtomcatservice.bat in service pages\bin folder to run tomcat as a windows service.
