SD 4.5 - lack attribute

Hi,
I have to create new view in Service Call. And i need workroup's parent name. I can see this attribute in module workgroup and I can see it when i creat IU rule. But I can't see this attribute when I creat my view... ;-(

Can you help me?!

Re: SD 4.5 - lack attribute

Unfortunately you can't display those workgroup attributes in Service Call views.

One alternative is to use a custom field (Text 40), and write a UI or DB rule to copy the Workgroup Parent Name to this field whenever the Assignment Workgroup changes. Then you can use this custom field in the SC Views. I'd make this field read only all roles so it's only set by UI or DB Rule.

Of course, if you subsequently rename the Parent Workgroup, the old name will still appear in the old Service Calls. If that's an issue, the other alternative is to use the spare Custom Workgroup field (there is one in Service Calls) instead of a custom text field. That way it's a proper link to a workgroup and the view will always show the current parent name.

Hope that helps. ....Ken.
