Hello!

i've got quite irritating case, i need help :)

the thing is - when i select person's status as INACTIVE/RETIRED he/she can still save service calls. My customer asked me to set it so that retired person can't do it (which is quite obviouse imo) but i don't know how to do it..

i've made some UI rules which changes search code when person's status is set to inactive, but its just workaround, i need solution.

any suggestions ??

Hi,

for the person record you have to set "Blocked" to yes by checking the box for this value that is on the person record. You can set this usinga UI rule e.g. if status=retired set Blocked to yes

This stops the person record from being seen.

To stop the users from saving calls you also need to block their application account.

quite right Mark!.

Just to clarify for you, BR... the Active/Inctive status has no innate functionality within OVSD, it is only a status. However, as Mark states, this status can be used to trigger UI and DB rules.
