SD 4.5 Use rights

I'm looking for a way to grant a user the rights to import data into SD using data exchange tasks. Currently I have to grant Admin rights to this users, but with Admin rights they can change everything.

Are there any way to grant such permissions without giving full system admin rights?

Regards, Christian

Re: SD 4.5 Use rights

Hi christian,

unfourtunately there is no other solution. data exchange is a specific task that is not designed for the end user of SD application, therefor no access rights can be given on this level (role rights).

you could create a second admin right with another name and keep the audit logs to check changes by the second user...

Re: SD 4.5 Use rights

sd_import.bat can be run under any user account who has rights to modify the item.
So after you setup import mapping (under admin) you can do import tast by other user.

Re: SD 4.5 Use rights

Hi Christian,

Set up an integration account and give it system administrator role. An integration account cannot use the client and does not use a license.

Hope this helps
