Run external HP-UX scripts on HP Service Desk Server

Hello,

To develop a series of functionalities, we needed to execute HP-UX scripts according to a series of conditions that are fulfilled in Service Desk. We know that commands can be executed from UI rules or Database rules. We have tested in a Windows platform with files .bat and has worked, but we were not able to execute scripts of HP-UX.

How can we execute HP-UX external scripts from Service Desk?

Thanks

Re: Run external HP-UX scripts on HP Service Desk Server

Hi,

As you already mentioned you can achive the same using Database rules.

There should be a reachability between your servicedesk server & the HP-UX server.

If they are not reachable then you can not.

Check the reachability(May be a firewall blocking the access).

Hi,

if you run the scripts with a UI rule the script has to be on the system that the UI rule has been run from.

DB rules can point to a location for scripts. UI rules cannot.
