Roles based filtering in service pages (sd45)

hi,

i would like to filter some data in service pages based on user's role/roles.

but found, that IRole isn't documented (in sd45 sp api).

Can someone provide some example, or overview to me ?

Thanks,

Hi Radko,

You can filter data using workgroups also..If different workgroups have different roles the you can simply define the conditions.

Hope this helps.

Re: Roles based filtering in service pages (sd45)

Hi Radko,

If you want to filter the inputs based on roles:

1. Basic filtering is done in Service Pages itself. Based on the permissions assigned, Service Pages checks the authorization for editing or entering a particular field.

2. If there is enhanced filtering that you want to add, then you can edit the Service Pages, taking help from the web-api guide.

That may help you out...

Re: Roles based filtering in service pages (sd45)

Hi Radko,

Apologies I didn't see that part of the post clearly.

UnRar the win-api.jar file and you'll find the following path:

\web-api\com\hp\itsm\api\interfaces

There are 12 class files in it. Convert them back to JAVA using a de-compiler.

Maybe that can help you out...
