Removing Users from CI on Termination

Good Afternoon,

We are working with Service 4.5 SP18 and are attempting to find a way that Service Desk can automatically remove all "Users" from a CI when it is placed into a "Terminated" Status.

In testing my options with DB rules, I haven’t found anything that worked, and have not found anything in a search of the forums except possibly a sd_event command.

Is there a simpler method that I am missing?

Re: Removing Users from CI on Termination

Hello Scott,

To my knowledge this can't be done using the java client. Either you have to write a web-api application to do this or simpler make a delete SQL statement.

The relations between Persons and CIs are stored on the table ITSM_CI_USERS while the relations between Orgs and CIs on ITSM_CI_ORGS

Have in mind that no matter how good programmer you are chances are that the performance of the web-api will be abysmal for this job.

SQL is always the quickest (though not the safest) way to do mass changes into SD.

Ah well, I had hoped there was someting simpler that I was overlooking. We'll just have to handle it manually

Thanks George
