Remedy to HPSD (attach a status call to a open record in HPSD)
Trying to find out if there are any solutions to attachd a status call to a open HPSD ticket? You can do this today in Remedy, but we are being told that this is not possible in HPSD. We would think that someone else has had this issue and what does HP recommend?

Because of the way attachments are done in Service Desk there's no quick and easy way to do this. Basically attachments are done via FTP and a file ID and original name are entered into the database. So the short answer is yes it can be done. The long answer? You'd have to have the API create the file ID, update the database, then create a separate interface to upload the file to the FTP server with the correct name to the correct directory.
