Relations and Templates using sd_dataform

Hi All,

I am in need of some assistance in being able to call the sd_dataform from within Change, and relate a WO, and also from in the WO, to have the correct template chosen.

I get the sd_dataform to select the WO form, but cannot get the +"Relations.Change.ID" parameters to link the WO to the change, and then also, with the -ForceNew command, to choose the correct template for the WO.

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks
Shaun

Hey Shaun,

You can not select which template is used.

As a workaround...you can insert all of the default values you want for each field using the format:
"+FieldName=RequiredValue"

Hey glad to see you around the forum man :)

Enjoy!!!

Re: Relations and Templates using sd_dataform

Hello Shaun,

If you need to create a WO in a change you don't have to pass +Relations.Change.ID= to the command line since service desk doesn't consider it as relation.

Instead use +"Change.ID=xxxx" in order to create the WO in the change.

Now, about the template. You can't set it through sd_dataform. Though it would be very usefull, template actualy is not a field in a form.

Re: Relations and Templates using sd_dataform

HI Guys

Thanks for the response, will allocate points appropriately.

I have made the changes as indicated on the Change.ID=xxxx, but now I am receiving another error stating "an unknown operator in the CLI"

The WO opens, but the error appears.

My entry in the smart actions looks as follows.

"Update CI WO" +"Change.ID=ID" -ForceNew

Any ideas.

Thanks
Shaun

Re: Relations and Templates using sd_dataform

Hello Shaun,

If this is a smart action it should be like

"Update CI WO" +"Change.ID=[ID]" -ForceNew

the field must be closed in brackets in order to be replaced by it's value.
