Relate CI's to a Work Order template

I would like to be able to relate a number of Ci's to a specific Work Order template (Say all Servers). So when the user selects that Work Order template all the Server CI;s are already related to the Work Order and they would not have to select and add them manually. Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Re: Relate CI's to a Work Order template

Hi Rory,

In my SP20 system if you double click on Configuration Items in a WO template, it lets you Add a new or Relate an existing template for a CI on a WO. This appears to let you specify the actual CI.

So I think you need to set up a template of type CI on a WO for each server and then Relate these to the WO template.

Hope this helps

Re: Relate CI's to a Work Order template

Thanks Ruth I had seen that but we are talking about 100-300 servers at a time so this would not really work. I think I will set up a few views for their server groups taht are related to the Work Order so they can just select all CI's in that specific view. Thanks again
