Reg : Sd agent

Hi All,

Iam new to SD, I have some basic doubts regarding SD-4.5

1. Is there any way to find out the active SD agents that are communicating with the server.I have installed a sd agent on HP-UX machine. But I have not patched it up.from the SD application server end (running on w2k) how do I come to know if the server has detected this agent or not.

2.what is the difference between the sd event component and sd agent component.

3. and one more query regarding OVO on HP-UX. the admin login opc_adm shows all the nodebanks and user banks in read-only mode. Do any one of you know where I should make the changes to make it read/write.

Thanks in adavnce.

Re: Reg : Sd agent

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge.

You can check the logserver.txt file, located under $SD_HOME/server/log directory on the OVSD app server, to know whether the SD app server has detected the agent or not.

SD_Agent is required to execute actions on any remote system from the SD app server, through business logic (rules). SD_Event is kind of an integration component, used to create records in OVSD through command sd_event.

Let me try to find a solution for opc_adm.
