Read only field

Hi,

I'm setting up SD5 and I'm trying to set the field 'Actual finish' at 'Service Call' to be read only to the user. Is this possible?

My idea is that this field will be filled by rule when a service call status becomes 'Complete'. The user should never change it manually.

Hi,

to set a field to a read access, you need to perform this within the access (role) of the logged on user.
Click the entity, advanced and you will find all the fields. In this case choose actual finish and set it to read access.

Indeed, create a UI rule on status =xx that the field is filled
