Re-Register JVM on HPOV ServiceDesk 4.5.0588.2305

Sometimes when we open HPSD we get a java erro saying JVM not found. We are going around this by reinstalling HPSD without first uninstalling the previous version. The first step in the hpsd install process is the installation setup/registering of the java VM…once this step has been completed, the install process halts because it sees the existing hpsd installed on your machine….this way you will not lose any of your hpsd custom setup/configuration views…..

Is there an easier way of re-registering the JVM instead of trying to re-install and let the JVM get registered that way?
