Problem connection client to server in SD 4.5 SP18

Hi,

I have problems when connecting with the server. It appears to me the following message:

"Update failed, please contact your system administrator"

what is the problem?

The message often relates to an old client finding an upgraded server and failing to get the new SP by "remote updater" facility.

But here looking into your log the failres are all "No route to host redirecciones.dnsystem.com on port:30997" AND port 30999 is tried too? This suggests some sort of comms problem, DNS not working?

Can you try the IP Address of an App Server?

Is this just one client or are they all affected? Can a client on an APP SERVER make connection? Am I right in assuming there are multiple App Servers? I presume this was all working at some stage in the past?

Only one client is affected.
We have two servers configured as multiple severs. We have tried to connect to us to both but the client doesn't connect.

I had a smilar issue.I resolve it by:
1. Added both the server IP/name in hosts file
2. Removed the folder ( C:\Documents and Settings\jangira\Local Settings\Application Data\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView )
3. Logged in using the Hostname.
