Pop up in service call

Hi,

After a new service call is opened, without doing any modification in any of the fields, if the service call is closed, popup is coming asking whether to save or cancel the service call. Can anyone tell me how this popup comes? Any flag will set after new service call is opened so that system generates popup? If so, where it can be found?

Thanks,
Sam

Re: Pop up in service call

Hi Sam,

is there any field being populated by a rule or a template or a default status etc.

Is the creation date being set again by the system or by a rule or template.

Open a new call with a form that has all the fields showing and check to be sure that each field does not have any value set.

Is the ID field populating witha number either on open or on save?

Re: Pop up in service call

Hi,

Creation field is set by the system. Id field is populated once new service call is opened.

Thanks.

Re: Pop up in service call

Hi,

I blocked all the UI rules and removed all the default values in templates and opened new service call. Registration field is populated with creation date by the system and ID field also populated.

Thanks.

Re: Pop up in service call

Sam,

I think just the fact you opened the Service Call the system is already doing things in the database and if you close the Service Call it wants to know if it should keep the data or remove it from the database.

Re: Pop up in service call

Hi Sam,

your question seems confusing a bit.

(1) is that you are getting a popup when you try to close an incident that is already set to Closed or

2) is that you are getting the popup when you are trying to close a newly opened Incident?

if option (1) is correct, then try to use another condition (NOT Status equals CLOSED) wherever it is applicable.

if option (2), probably you may have to turn off the option "Create ID when items are opened". its always better if ID is created after saving a record.

hope this helps you.

good luck
