Outbound e-mail server

Dear all,

I've just simple question if it's possible somehow to configure backup SMTP server for SD? For example if the primary SMTP defined in configuration falls down? We have some notification scripts which are able top switch to backup SMTP but its possible to set the SD engine for two different SMTP servers? As likely as not:-)

THX Tomas

Re: Outbound e-mail server

We've solved this problem through a slightly different mechanism. We have a network director that senses if the primary smtp server is down and re-directs the traffic to a secondary. You could also configure the SMTP servers in a clustered environment and direct the traffic to the virtual server that they support as a cluster. Either of these should mean that you have a single host name that you can always send mail to. Good luck
