OpenView SD4.5 client failure

The OVSD4.5 setup in my organisation uses the AD Client to login to the SD client.
I have a particular PC in my network, that wont launch the OVSD client after a correct loginName & password is entered. Once the loginName & password is entered in the login screen, and then clicked OK, the screen disappears and nothing else comes up. The sdlaunch.exe process in the task manager also dissapers.
If the loginName & password is incorrect it shows the failure message, which shows that authentication is happening.
In short the AD Client after correct logon is not launching the application.
Tried reinstalling the client, agent $ AD Client several times with no success.
Any help greatly appreciated!
