OVSD custom reports

HI,
We are using OVSD 4.5 sp17 in Windows environment win2003 & Database is Oracle on HPUX machine
There is no option to take reports from OVSD so we have made few ASP scripts through which we extract the reports directly through views made in database. The scripts are working perfectly but the time taken for scripts to run is about 30-40 min after which i am not able to save the file extracted from ASP scripts.

Can anyone help in this

You are running self-developed scripts that extract information from the database. Service Desk is out of the picture...

We'd all have to know what your system architecture is like and how the scripts were developed to even get a remote idea of why the scripts take so long to run or why you are not able to save the file.

Hi,
Try running the Database queries directly on the server to check performance issues. If they take that much time, it seems you need to make better, more narrow or precise queries.

The reason you cannot save the file might be a session timeout issue, or due to size of the response.

What kind of data are you pulling out? You're not doing anything out of History or something like that are you?
