OVSD| Link between Incidents & Problems

I'd like to notify problemowners whenever a SC or incident is linked to their problem.
I tried using Web-Api, but failed cause there is no trigger (can't trigger on Service Event Relations).
I even tried a monitoring the DB but failed due to commit problems :s :).

Is there anything I overlooked or forgot or is this simply impossible?

Re: OVSD| Link between Incidents & Problems

Every time you create such a relation a new record is planted in ITSM_SERVICE_RELATIONS with its SRE_SER_OID ponting at the Service Call and SRE_PRO_OID at the Problem.

If you are perpared to write a trigger to detect this then you should be able to utilise this fact.

Re: OVSD| Link between Incidents & Problems

indeed, that I found. And I wrote a trigger (via extended procedures calling a jar file) but when it got executed ( by adding a relation and saving) SD gave an error ' unable to insert (all) data'.

This has something to do with the fact that a trigger executes before the commit. And since I'm nowhere near a SQLServer specialist I dropped that idea :-).

If you do have a solution on this or any other front I'd be happy to try it.
