Re: OVO

Hi SavitaV;

I suppose you are running two version of tomcat server on your system.

Follow the below process -
i - cat /var/run/catalina.pid (you should find the tomcat process id)
ii - Kill the tomcat process id (kill -9 )
iii - start tomcat (ovc -start ovtomcatA)
If tomcat process is running now stop one of the tomcat server process running from startup
iv - mv /sbin/rc3.d/S823hpws_apache mv /sbin/rc3.d/s823hpws_apache
mv /sbin/rc3.d/S823hpws_tomcat /sbin/rc3.d/s823hpws_tomcat

This should resolved your problem.

Re: OVO

It does not help.
Gives the following error :

kill -9 10355
bash: kill: (10355) - No such pid.

Re: OVO

Hi Savita;

Empty the old tomcat PID -
>/var/run/catalina.pid
and then try starting the tomcat directly from /opt/OV/nonOV/tomcat/a/bin/startup.sh

Check whether the new tomcat pid is generated
cat /var/run/catalina.pid

Chech whether the tomcat is running
ps -ef |grep

Re: OVO

Hi Savita;

Your JAVA_HOME is not configured...
try running -
export JAVA_HOME=/opt/OV/nonOV/jre/1.4
and then on the same terminal run opt/OV/nonOV/tomcat/a/bin/startup.sh

Hey...
The startup script gave the following output :

root@mgmt # /opt/OV/nonOV/tomcat/a/bin/startup.sh
Using CATALINA_BASE: /opt/OV/nonOV/tomcat/a
Using CATALINA_HOME: /opt/OV/nonOV/tomcat/a
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /opt/OV/nonOV/tomcat/a/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/jdk/j2sdk1.4.2_12

But, ovtomcatA still doesnot start :

root@mgmt # ./ovc -status ovtomcatA
ovtomcatA OV Tomcat(A) Servlet Container WEB Aborted

Re: OVO

Hi Savita;

Try to reinstall Service Desk ServicePages module. This will reinstall the tomcat on the server.

From the CD you can directly run the ServicePages setup.
