Non-Editable field

Hi All,

Working on SD 4.5 with SP4.

We need to make one field (Installation Date) to be non-editable once value entered and CI is saved.

Can somebody please let us know how this can be done.

You can not do this. I can think of two possible workarounds:

1) create a second field, and from a db rule, copy the value of Installation Date to this field if it is empty. Use a ui rule to copy the value back if it is changed by a user.

2) another option is to set up folders. And when the Installation Date is filled in, move the CI to a different folder. Set the installation date read-only in all roles for that folder.
