Moving HPSD application server to a new Datacenter

Hello...

Presently, I have my application and web server in one datacenter and the database server in another datacenter.
I would like to move the application and web server to the datacenter in which the database server resides, which will lead to a change in the fully qualified domain name as well as IP address.
HP licensing is done based on the IP.

Other than the licensing issue, will I face any problem?
Will I need to run the database config wizard or just make changes to the server_settings.xml file?

Would really appreciate it if some clarity was provided on this.

Thanks.

Re: Moving HPSD application server to a new Datacenter

Hello,

Just edit server_settings.xml to point to the correct ips. Also e-mail settings may also have to be edited to have the correct dns.

Also, if there any db rules that execute commands to remote machines (through agent) maybe need to be altered.

Other than than and since you relocate the application server and not the DB, I don't think that you have other issues.
