Making alerts in SD

Hi.

In my company we have a type of Service that is a count of hours of maintenance.

We have the total hours of the Service and the number of hours left in it.

We want to make an alert when the number of hours left in a Service are a certain % of the total.

Is this possible to make with SD alerts?

Re: Making alerts in SD

HI
Possible: UI Rule, before save, conditions: compare two fields if one less then other. But the fieds must have same format, if you store number of hours in duration field type, then the other (second) must be duration too, if in 1-st Number the 2-nd Number too.

Thanks for your reply, but that solution won´t work for me.

Updating of the Hours left is made by a script, so the UI rule won´t start.

Everyday i have a script that counts all the hours of the WorkOrders associated to the Service Calls of the Service and update the Hours Left field.

Alberto,

DB rule that calls the banner (banner.exe) with the this information? Don't forget to deploy sd_agent.

Re: Making alerts in SD

Yes Steven, this is the approach I am trying but I find a great problem for me.

Example. I have for one Service Total Hours: 100

Passing everyday my script I am updating Hours Left by 50.

If i choose to make one DB rule I have no option to choose a procentage of the Total Hours for raising up the alert. I can only choose an specific value.

This is what i´m looking for. A way of choosing a portion of the Total Hours for raising up the alerts.
