Making a Boolean visable for reporting (External reporting tool)

Hi,

Can anyone help?
I have created a Boolean in OVSD (Service Desk 4.5 SP23) but I'm struggling to understand how to make it visable for reporting purposes. We use Westbury as our reporting tool

Thanks and regards
John

Re: Making a Boolean visable for reporting (External reporting tool)

Hi,

if you are using Westbury can they not help? Do you have support with them?

You need to check with Westbury does your product version support the unlimited custom fields (provided that this new boolean field has been created as a new field instead of using the standard out of box fields).

Initially Westbury said that the new unlimited fields would be unsupported but I do not know if this is still the case or if they have created a version / SP to address this.

Re: Making a Boolean visable for reporting (External reporting tool)

Hello,

I'm from WestScope (the support organization of Westbury)
A few short questions to make the question clear.

1. Is it a Unlimited customfield?
2. Which version of Report Manager do you use?
3. In which module did you create the Boolean?

Kind regards

Re: Making a Boolean visable for reporting (External reporting tool)

Hi,

Hope the below info makes my request more clear!

I have created two Booleans one for Events and one for Service Call both are checkbox Booleans. I then added the Booleans to the default forms we created for Service Calls and Events. I haven't made reference to the Booleans anywhere else. The Booleans are one of a total of 15 available for each call type in the custom field section.

We use Business Objects 11 release 2

If you have any further questions please let me know

Thanks in advance

Re: Making a Boolean visable for reporting (External reporting tool)

Hello John,

Thanks for the information above, but I need to know if you used unlimited custom fields or normal custom fields.
I also need to know which version of Westbury report manager you use? (you can see this in the name of a universe)

When your company has a support contract by Westbury or WestScope you may also contact us directly.
Please visit or website for more information.

Re: Making a Boolean visable for reporting (External reporting tool)

I found that the Boolean was automatically visible in Westbury. The issue was down to the our reporting analysts not looking in the right place!

Thanks for all your help
