Making Relationships Quicker

To speed up logging calls and making it easy to relate calls I want to create two boxes called 'Relate to Incident' and 'Relate to Problem'

I'm guessing it's a custom filter on the relations tab. Any pointers?

Re: Making Relationships Quicker

Damian,

I understand you to mean that you want to include on your Service Call form all the Incident relations in one field, and all the problem relations in another field.

I do not think this is possible, because only the default view will be used on BOTH fields.

Try modifying the Service Event Relation view, grouping or sorting on item type.

My answer is valid for 4.5. I do not have the answer for 5.0

Re: Making Relationships Quicker

Hi Damian,

you could look at creating smart actions which will make and relate say service calls to problems or changes or incidents.

The user would be in say a service call and would choose a smart action which would use sd_dataform to open the new form for say problem and parameters can be defined to set the relationship and other values in the problem record.

If this si what you are after and you require more details please let us know.
