Mail problem with SDesk

Hi
we are using servicedesk 4.5 at our site. Now servicecall mails are sent from sdesk to our mail server which is Netscape 4.15 running on Tru64 Unix. The problem is that the date and time of the service call mails is shown as NaNNanNan instead of real date and time . Now when the same mail is sent to say yahoo.com the date andtime are correctly shown.why is it that with netscape this date and time format is not proper. Is there some setting required in sdesk for this.
plz guide
dont worry about pts
thanks
jessica

Re: Mail problem with SDesk

Hi Jessica,

Is this difference noticed at the reciever's end? I mean the Netscape server is your mail server or the recieving end??

Need a little more clarity on this...

Saurabh

Re: Mail problem with SDesk

hi Jessica,

When you send a mail from SD through the Netscape, and the recieving end is yahoo.com the mail gets a timestamp. And when the mail is sent to some other client, the timestamp appears as "NaNNanNan". I think the client end of the messaging is causing this to go wrong. It may be possible that the date format may be different in the mail sent and recieved, and hence the NANNANNAN that you see. Check the date-time format of two mails - one mail from SD to yahoo vs. any other mail recieved with the other client.

Hope this gives some insight as to what may be the issue...

Saurabh
