Limited Services for specific Role or SC Category

Hi,

Is there a way, on SD4.5 SP14, to apply a filter on the Services visible in the Quick Find in the Service call? Preferrably for a specific Role, but for specific Service call Categories would also be OK.

I tried to do it with a filtered View and I assigned the Role in question only this View (and even made it their default), but although this View is chosen in the Quick Find window, the filter is not applied.

Then I tried to do it with a UI Rule (Limit Field Value Range), but this does not work because I cannot choose Service in the Fields-Field.

Any help is welcome.

Hello Caroline,

You can't do what you want with your version (SP14). If you upgrade to SP16 you will be able to use the filters in views.

In order to limit Services based on the role, you need SP17 and generic relations.
