Java GregorianCalendar errors in SD4.5 GUI - SP20

Hi all, subset of our users has suddenyl started getting java errors trying to open Service Calls.
Error is "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: GregorianCalendar does not handle dates before 4716 BC".
Seems to go when clear cache, but some seems to be getting it back.
At the same time there are heaps of server log errors " Data Accessjava.lang.NumberFormatException: Invalid signum value
at java.math.BigInteger.(BigInteger.java:220)" which I'm guessing are related. (Maybe one GUI error is causing a batch of log errors).

Can't see any OVSD changes to start this...possibly a Windows security patch but not sure - still investigating.

Anyone else come across this or any ideas?
Thanks......Ken.

I've not seen this error message before and we use SP20 as well.

We used Java 1.4.2_09. Maybe upgrading the Java version on the server would help?

Thanks Tim...but we are already on 1.4.2_09 on server.
I'm pretty sure this is a client side problem because it's only affecting a small group of users (Service Desk guys unfortunately!), and that's where our investigations are heading.
