JDBC error 2627: by notification rules

Hi,
SP 22, SD 4.5
Time to time I have error:
E, 21/05/2007 10:14:44 JDBC error 2627: [EE-SD-SQL]Violation of PRIMARY
KEY constraint 'ESC_PK'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.itsm_emailsc
'., SQL state: 23000 for query: INSERT INTO itsm_emailsc
( esc_priority
,esc_oid
,esc_date
,esc_ser_oid
,esc_incoming
,esc_subject
,esc_blocked
,esc_id
,esc_folder_oid
,esc_body
,esc_source_oid
,esc_lockseq
) VALUES ( ?
,?
, CONVERT(DATETIME,?,120)
,?
,0

,?)
Values:
?0
?281504155122341
CONVERT(DATETIME,?2007/5/21 7:14:44 ,120)
.......

The error come from one rule where used email notification. But I have 2 notificarion in 2 rules: 1 - to customer, 2-to Assignment.
If to do one notifications, or by 1-st way or by second , working without errors, but when notification must be in sent by two ways, come error, and notification does not sending. Anybody know the problem?

Re: JDBC error 2627: by notification rules

It would appear that this case causes two ITSM_EMAILSC records to be created with the same OID - a fundamental "no no".

You'd better report it to HP

Re: JDBC error 2627: by notification rules

Ok.

We are running on SP21 at the moment. Doing such an upgrade is a major task in our enviroment, so its not something I can do right away.

Will there be any consequenses by leaving this error be for a month or two? The error spawns every 5mins or so.

Re: JDBC error 2627: by notification rules

Hi,

upgrading to SP 21 would not be a big an upgrade as with SP 20 or below as after Sp 20 there are really only bug fixes. No enhancements (or very little) have been added after SP 2O so there is less impact of the upgrade.

The testing may have to be as a normal upgrade to ensure that any bug fix does not affect your current set up.
