Integrating Telalert and Service desk

Hello,

I was wondering if there is any white paper discussing an integration possibilities of Service desk 4.5 and Telalert.
A document was supposed to be attached to a Telalert application and ond the web, but I haven't had any luck finding it.

However, I've noticed a demo rule in service desk itself. Is this rule proper way to begin with, having in mind sending SMS-es only when an incident opens ?

Yes, you use dbrule to send parametes to telalert. I think you can get docs from the vytek web site

Hello Vasily,

I've found only description paper, but not really integration paper itself.

The Telalert CD media, given with the SD 5.0 contains a link to PDF, but the PDF is not really there.

Any clue on where to search for ?

So, to my understaning, DB rule uses telalert command line ?

I think it will help.
telalertc -c GSMModem -pin 79163223322 -m "ALARM"
Instead of "ALARM" it is possible to substitute any text filling.

in the meantime I wrote to Telalert support and they've sent me same document with additional configuration files.

I am using an SMS engine which can accept http requests. I want to know how I can call an hppt url like http://localhost/sms.asp?MobileNo:1234567890, Massage=ALARM 2324

One thing that bothers me; the existing Telalert infrastructure is installed on UNIX machine, version 5.1. The integration manual is written for telalert version 5.4.

Since SD is installed on Windows platform and needs Windows telalert client, do different platforms of Telalert client and server pose any problem ?

Hi,

We have procured a product called OMS (Open Messaging Sytem from O2a for sending SMS messages. This gets integrated to HP service desk very easily. Their web site is http://www.o2a.org. Their contact number is 9880033331
