Importing data to ServiceDesk from XML

Hi all,

We are trying to import data from a XML file to Service Desk using (Example file of the XML in attach).

I tried to "clean" the XML file, so that the file would only have the AC_ORGANIZATIONS tag. In this way, we made an import mapping and managed to import the data into ServiceDesk.
Question: we were trying to import to Departments but we could only import to organizations, can anyone tell how to map directly into departments?

When we try to import the entire XML, we get an error:
ERROR: Parsing error occurred at:
file:/C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator.TESTAD/Desktop/AC_LIAISON_UPDATE_teste.xml_1.xml, line 233:
element after document element
warning: fatal_error occurred while processing AC_LIAISON_UPDATE_teste.xml_1.xml

Thanks,
Jaime

Re: Importing data to ServiceDesk from XML

Hi Vasily,

Thanks for your help. We have some existing companies, departments and Organization in Service Desk already, but we're not sure exactly how to relate the organization (that we want to be a department) to a parent organization.

Can you give us some overview of that please?

Thanks,
Jaime
