Ignore Client settings - Not able to login

Hi,

SD 5 SP1
After I checked the box in general settings to ignore client settings to throw the interactive login screen, I am NOT able to login at all (even from the OVSD server). Its throwing error saying unable to create login context and access is denied, and to check the ovlogin.config.

I have checked ovlogin.config and the login module is obs,i.e, default.

I have also tried the option ovconsole -DServer=localhost (from the managment server)

Any ideas ?

Also , if somebody knows the set_oid in the rep_general_settings for "ignore client settings" , pls let me know , so I can set that to make it false

Thanks,
-HSB

Re: Ignore Client settings - Not able to login

Hi,

I darnt install SP1 on my machine so can't tell you if I have the same issue.

However this is what my script looks like with the 'ignore client settings' set to not null. Please back up your database before trying this script!!

if exists (select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'[dbo].[rep_general_settings]') and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N'IsUserTable') = 1)
drop table [dbo].[rep_general_settings]
GO

CREATE TABLE [dbo].[rep_general_settings] (
[set_oid] [decimal](18, 0) NOT NULL ,
[set_lockseq] [decimal](9, 0) NULL ,
[set_value] [nvarchar] (255) COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_BIN NULL ,
[set_lbl_oid] [decimal](18, 0) NULL ,
[set_tem_oid] [decimal](18, 0) NULL ,
[set_att_oid] [decimal](18, 0) NULL ,
[set_mod_oid] [decimal](18, 0) NULL
) ON [PRIMARY]
GO

Hope this helps

Re: Ignore Client settings - Not able to login

Rachel ,

The script creates the structure I guess as I compared it with the genereated sql for the existing rep_general_settings table and they look identical. Any pointers ?

Re: Ignore Client settings - Not able to login

I'm wondering if it sets something in the rep_accounts table - clutching a straws a bit here.

Settings attached

If not I don't know.

Don't suppose you can restore the database from backup?

Re: Ignore Client settings - Not able to login

I dont think that would help..

Ideally it should have thrown the login screen for interactive login , I am wondering if its a bug. I do have a backup of DB from this morning.. would try to restore it and I hope that takes care of it.
