Dear All, I am currently preparing myself for a project where I am supposed to perform a consultancy service and conduct IT service management assessment based on ITIL and MOF (Microsoft Operations Framework). I have good knowledge about ITIL/MOF (I am certified in ITIL foundations) and I have gone through similar projects before,but, I need to know more about How to process a whole project on a standard and professional way; How to Gather data from the customer? How to assess and decide the organization's maturity level? how to document recommendations? How to plan a road map to execute recommended solutions? and so on.. I am sure that many of you are actually working in this field. Appreciate if any one can share his experience, documents,tool kits, advice, recommended trainings..etc. usefull participations will be highly rewarded. Thanks in advance.
Hi there, I work for Fox IT (see http://www.foxit.net) and Service Mgt is our core business. Many of my colleagues do such assessments and they all have ITIL Managers certifcate and we would recommend that you should get qualified to that level before considering taking on such an engagement.
