I am running HP Service Desk 4.5 (SP 9) and have recently started using the inbound email functionality.
However I have found that emails written with HTML editing are not having the HTML tags stripped off, and this is making the service calls very hard to read. Is there a way to strip all the HTML tags off the email?
The best way is to use some sort of mail gateway that does MIME conversion and have the gateway send everthing as plain text. Often what they will do is strip out the HTML tags but also render an HTML version as an attachment. The short answer is that there is nothing in Service Desk to do this and that it needs to be done before hand as SD expects all mail to be in plain text.
