Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

By executing this query:

delete from rep_javaobjects
where jav_entity = (
select ent_oid
from ifc_entities
where ent_name = 'Scheduled Tasks')

Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

Hi,

no you cant do this via the GUI. Also note that it will clear ALL scheduled tasks (ok for test but just be aware if you run this in production).

Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

Hi there,
What was sais earlier is true for 4.5; in version 5 you CAN delete a scheduled task via the GUI (one of the very very very few areas where 5 actually has something better than 4.5!)

Solution

Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

Also once you've deleted the scheduled tasks from the database you must bounce the HPSD Service (or services) on each APp Server if they weren't stopped, because a copy of the tasks for each server is held there as well.
Best is to stop the App Server services, then delete from the database then restart.

Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

A ran a sql query to see just how many scheduled task we have in our production and it reported a whopping 23827 scheduled tasks!

This cant be good :( I also made an inventory of DB rules with the "schedule validation" and unchecked "execute only once" and found 3 of those, I suspect they are the culprits?

I'd like to troubleshoot some more but the Scheduled task list in the GUI will only allow me to show 1000 at once, any way to raise this?

And if not how do I export a list of them with query analyzer?

Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

Jan,

It seems you are having the same problems as myself. Are you saying you found three rules with "Evaluate this rule when this field has been changed" checked and "Only execute once" unchecked?

Re: How to flush scheduled tasks list?

No, I found 3 DB rules that contains:

"Schedule the validation of this condition at...."

with the "Only execute once" unchecked.
