How to define a New Customised Field and apply properties .. ?

Dear All,

I need to create a two customised fields called : "Local warranty End Date" and "Province".
The propoerties will be "Date" and Text 30 Chars.

Q1 - How do I create this field .... ?
Q2 - Where , In whic DB .... ?
Q3 - Any URL or document which I can refer .. ?

Tools->System->Data-> Custom Fields -> Then Select where you want the filed (ie: Incident, Configuration Item etcâ ¦)

When you double click on the item (for example, let us take Configuration Item)

There you select a free filed, which match to your requirements and name it in the way you want. Then you should select â Activeâ and select which are the categories you want to enable it.

Later, you can call this filed in a form, so that the user can see and update the same.
