How to control the incident's ID

In OVSD4.5, when creating a new record, the incident's ID will be increased by one. What is the maximum? Where does the ID reset? How can I control the field? i.e. prefixing SC to the number, or changed the length to 8 ?

Also you can find next number of record by any substance.

select *
from IFC_SEQUENCES

Where seq_usn this number, and seq_cat_oid - oids of servicecalls,workorders ...

Hi there,

Generally, the advice would be don't try and reset this once you have gone live.

If you wnat to control how it looks or add a prefix, the best way is to use a custom field and hadv business logic which sets this from the ID and formats as you want.
