The audit log is a nice thing but it can grow rapidly.
My audit log is currently so big that it takes to long to get it loaded in OVSD. I would like to delete the oldest items in this log, but when trying to delete an entry (as system) I always get the message that I'm not autorized.
I found the table in the database but after deleting one line, OVSD was giving all sort of errors during restart of the clients.
Audit logs can be deleted through archiving. Go to administrator console/system panel/archive settings, check audit log, select a view that is going to be used for archiving and press start archiving now.
Have in mind that if the view contains more than 40.000 lines, probably you going to have problems and timeouts. Set a the archive view in such way that no more than 40.000 lines AND/OR too many fields are listed.
