How to Restrict Items in Status Field for a security access Role (SD 4.5 SP 20)

Hi,

I have created a new security access role which will aim to prevent application account users in that Role from closing a Problem Record. I would like to have the Closed item removed from the Status Field.

My question is, how do I perform this task?

I don't think such restriction can be made based on a Role. Instead, try "Limit field value" via UI Rule...

Open up the new role, then on the 'Items' tab click Problem then click Details.

Select the Status Access tab, and set the 'Status to' to the status before Closed. That should prevent users with that role setting a Problem to Closed, or modifying Closed Problems.
