Hierarchical structure?

Hi
Anyone who knows how to add a button with a hierarchical structure?
Like the quick find button to choose a Category in a Service call.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Hierarchical structure?

Hi Carlos,

I am not sure what you want to do, but the only hierachical codes available in SD are the ones out of the box. Custom code fields are all drop down lists.

If this does not answer you query, can you give some more details please,

Re: Hierarchical structure?

Thanks for your reply Ruth

A custom code field is what I'm after.
We want to add a field with a button to click with sort of a "drop down list" to choose the right item. This instead of having a 255 text field.
Under Codes - Change for example I want to add a new "Code" but right clicking on the top level doesn't give me the option to do this. I can only ad for example a new Change category.

Solution

Re: Hierarchical structure?

Hi Carlos,

First add a new custom code field (Tools>System>Data>Custom fields>Change).

Then go to Data>Codes>Change; if your new field does not appear, try F5 and if that does not work, logoff an back on again.

Then add the code values you want and put the custom field on a form.

Hope this helps (and if it does some points would be nice)
