Re: HP Openview Service Desk 4.5

Hello,

HP OV Client 4.5 depends on microsoft java (it is included on the installation CD). You must install it before attempting running the client.

Re: HP Openview Service Desk 4.5

We are using Os WIn XP Service Pack 2.

The installation worked perfect with our older machines.

I uninstalled all java + HP SD OV 4.5 from the machine and reinstalled the java VM and CLIENT from the CD

Re: HP Opening Service Desk 4.5

Hello VTCH,

Although Service Desk 4.5 client is not yet certified to run under Windows 7, several users in this forum have been able to install it properly.

Here are some steps that "may" work:

1. Open your regedit

2. Search for all msado15.dll keys on the registry, you will find keys with the path:%CommonProgramFiles%\System\ado\msado15.dll

3. Replace all of them you find with the right path:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll

4. Register the dll again run cmd as admin:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll"

Good luck!

Re: HP Opening Service Desk 4.5

i have the same issue, and this solution does not work i still have the same issue.

NB : the path " C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll " does not exist in Windows 7 we have " C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll "

Re: HP Opening Service Desk 4.5

Trying to make Service Desk 4.5  to run on Windows 7.
 I changed all:
%CommonProgramFiles%\System\ado\msado15.dll

Wtih:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll

And all:

%CommonProgramFiles(x86)%\System\ado\msado15.dll

With:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll

Runned:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll"

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll"

and:

Still not work... any idea?
