Where the Service Type will be stored. AND, Will it be a 12 digit integer linking to another table?

Not that we don't want to help but I truly believe these questions could be answered by sitting down 10-15 mins. with your DBA and exploring the Service Desk tables.

If you're building reports, remember we suggested using the SD-generated Views for Reporting, which will make it a lot easier to identify data.

You may want to consider getting a sandbox server (if you don't have one already) with its own database that you have access to, so you can explore the database structures and easily communicate to your DBA when asked about Service Desk tables and referential constraints.

Having said that...

What's "Service Type"? Do you mean Service Level, Service Event or Service? Or is it a Custom Field present only in your installation?

You might find it worth taking a look at the data dictionary, which you can generate from the client (in the system panel).

This describes the structure of the database tables (unfortunately not all of them), as well as the fields linking between them.
