HP OV a/c freezing in Category Field (OV SD 4.5 SP12)

Hi,

I have one user who's OV client continuously locks up once he tries to fill in the Category field in the Problem Module. I have not been given the time to re-install or troubleshoot but was wondering if anyone had come across this before.

Hi Peter,

have a look in the client log file for anything that might help.

C:\Documents and Settings\q727882\Application Data\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\Service Desk\log

Also clear the cache and try again. Failing that rename the service desk folder and try again. Copy back the views.dat then test again to make sure it is not a views.dat issue.

Hi Peter,

You have to troubleshoot on the same.check the log file, the rights access given to that user and also try to check the same issue with same username/passwotd on some other client machine.
