Folder entitlement and CI's

Hi all,

quick question:

if folder entitlement is turned on, the CI's folder is specified in the form, should'nt only users for that folder group be able to see CI's for the same folder group and no more?

For some reason when I turned on folder entitlement it doesn't limit based on folder...

Any ideas as to why?
Thanks

Re: Folder entitlement and CI's

Hi Marc,

It depends what you mean by "users for that folder group".

Access to folders is governed by the roles assigned so you need to set up a role which permits access only to the folder. Then assign the role to the relevant user accounts and then the access will be limited on folder.

If you have these roles in place, have you remembered to set the option in general settings switching on folder entitlements?

Hope this helps

OOOH!!!

The role + folder = entitlement... I must have mis-read that portion... no wonder I'm going nutz as to why this isn't working...

Ruth, you're a life saver! I'll let you know the outcome, thanks.
